Artwork is once again being sought, this time for placement in the women’s health, orthopedic and surgical services clinics that are located inside the hospital.

NEWPORT-- A Siletz mother who is also an independent book consultant asked the community to support her fundraiser to provide books to newborns at Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital.

The collaboration creates opportunities for engagement with hematology and oncology specialty physicians, as well as advanced practice providers, who will care for cancer patients in Samaritan’s tri-county region of Benton, Lincoln and Linn counties.

Shellie Russell-Skerski, MD, has joined Samaritan Health Center – Newport. She provides a full range of health care to children from birth through age 18.

Rain driven by a south wind hit the hospital window, but newborn Rogan Michael Baca was snug in his Oregon State University attire and safe in his parents’ arms.

Samaritan Health Services expects to receive a “very limited supply” of COVID-19 vaccines by the end of the week and will hold an online question and answer seminar about vaccines Dec. 17.
